About the school
The First Russian International School “Valentina Tereshkova” started with the realization of the curriculum on September 1, 2017, as the first Russian school registered in the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Serbia.
The need to open such an educational institution in Serbia has existed for a long time, both because of the historical, cultural and spiritual ties between the two countries, and because of the special relationship that the fraternal Russian people have with Serbia.
It should also be noted that the idea of creating a modern Russian school outside Russia arose at the time of strong action of the institutions of the Russian Federation on projects to popularize the Russian language and culture through educational systems outside the countries of the former Soviet Union.
Today, the school provides its students with the highest quality education according to the standards of traditional Russian school programs (“School of Russia”), as well as conditions for the realization of all planned educational processes. Classes are held in Russian language.
Teaching is based on general education programs with the teaching-methodological complex of “School of Russia” (UMK).
The goal of education at this level is the education of personality, support for creative potential, achieving independence in the application of knowledge and expression of personal opinion. The “School of Russia” program is adequate to all set goals. The textbooks with the help of which the “School of Russia” program is being implemented are on the federal list of textbooks recommended or allowed by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation for use in the educational process in educational institutions.
The educational program “School of Russia” of primary school education is a proven effective program made of a combination of the best Russian tradition and endorsed innovations in educational practice.
The curriculum from 5th to 9th grade provides a period of five years for work on educational programs of primary general education, developed on the basis of the Federal State Educational Standard for General Education of the Russian Federation.
General secondary education is a necessary phase before higher education.
In addition to the implementation of the curriculum, meeting standards and goals of secondary education, our focus is also the development of students’ creative abilities and the formation of abilities for independent learning and acquiring knowledge and skills.
The school system conducts additional education. After teaching activities outlined by the curriculum, additional contents are realized: sports and recreation, spiritual, moral, social education, as well as acquiring general culture and information.
